“Dr. Miller is the best kind of doctor there is. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and current on medical studies and treatment options, and he also brings the wisdom he has gained from his years as a physician. You know he has seen it all. Dr. Miller thinks like a diagnostician, which is what you want when having a symptom that isn’t easy to pinpoint. He’s connected to the best specialists in the Washington area and he will reach out to get you an appointment with one of them (sooner rather than later). I have total trust in Dr. Miller. My heartfelt words about Dr. Miller: extremely competent, compassionate, patient, a great listener, and funny. Thank you, Dr. Miller!”

“When my internist of several decades retired, I was extremely fortunate to “inherit” Dr. Miller at the same practice. He is a great listener, the breadth of his knowledge is amazing, and recommended treatments have been very effective. His coordination with specialists is excellent. Perhaps most importantly, my wife thinks very highly of him as a caregiver. If her internist retires, she would be happy to become another happy patient of Dr. Miller!”

“Dr. Miller has been very instrumental in keeping my mother healthy in her senior years. He is an empathetic doctor who encourages her to contact him with her concerns and is willing to communicate with me (her daughter) enabling me to understand her medical needs and maximize her care.”

“I am grateful and fortunate to have formed a very positive patient/doctor relationship with my primary care/Pulmonologist. This was especially vital because I was already a COPD patient in my eighties when I met Dr. Gary Miller. He immediately familiarized himself with my medical history and modified my medications to better meet my needs. He prescribed a program of treatment that keeps me active and comfortable. He is always available to answer my many questions and is patient, unhurried, and thorough. Dr. Gary Miller is a marvelous physician!”

“Dr. Miller always returns my calls in a timely basis. It is great that we can text and resolve issues that way also. I feel he spends quality time with me during examines and visits. Other MD’s not in the MDVIP program either make me feel rushed or left to wait up to an hour just to be seen for a scheduled appointment. This is never the case with Dr. Miller. If any one is on the fence about MDVIP, I was, but surely am not now. It’s one of the best decisions I made for my medical care.”

“I have been a patient in Dr. Miller’s concierge practice for approximately one year. He is very smart, has a broad knowledge of internal medicine, and, in my experience, he is a doctor who is sincerely concerned about the health and well being of his patients. He responds to phone calls and emails within a few hours, if not sooner. He listens carefully and explains things clearly. I have never felt rushed by him either in the office or on the phone. I became a patient in Dr. Miller’s concierge practice due to the recent retirement of my primary care physician, who had been my doctor for decades. Switching doctors might have been difficult, but Dr. Miller made my transfer very easy. I trust and respect him, and I feel safe under his care.”

“I have been a patient of Doctor Miller for many years initially as a pulmonary specialist than as my primary. He is an extremely strong clinical physician, but he understands the other side of medicine, the people side of medicine. He is not only high-tech but high touch. He presents with excellent interpersonal communication skills, especially as it relates to his patients and his bedside manner. He is a man, who is very involved with his patients. His management of complex patients like me is beyond reproach. I can go on and on, but you get the picture. He is the consummate physician.”

“Dr. Miller is wonderful. I first went to him years ago on the recommendation of a friend and have always been very happy with him. He’s kind and caring and has a wonderful manner. He is a very, very good listener and never makes me feel rushed. He was also able to find me a specialist on very short notice this past fall. I love that I can text or email and always count on getting a quick response. I recommend him highly.”

“I became a patient of Dr. Miller in 1984; 33 years ago. I was a charter member of his practice. I’ve been with him ever since through COPD, a heart attack and prostate cancer plus the daily challenges of aging and allergies. He has been on top of my pulmonary episodes, no matter when they occur and sensitive to my overall medical issues. He’s always been a highly competent medical professional serving my needs and over time he has become a good friend. That’s why I Joined his MDVIP practice and why I continue as his patient despite the fact that I moved 20 miles away from his office 2 1/2 years ago. Trust in his competence and caring more than balance the longer commute.”

“Dr. Miller has been caring for me since 2012. I use the word “care” because of his genuine kindness in treating my highly unpredictable sarcoidosis. Dr. Miller spends quality time with me answering all of my questions. He listens. I feel like I have a true partner in battling this disease. He is a trusted part of my medical team and I feel lucky to have him. I would highly recommend Dr. Miller.”

“Dr. Gary Miller has been my pulmonologist for more than twelve years. He is not only the finest pulmonologist but also the finest physician that I have ever known. He has seen me through many challenging lung episodes with calm, caring, and wisdom. Since Dr. Miller is also a Washingtonian Magazine “Top Doc”, I know I am in very good company. Many, many thanks, and God bless you, Dr. Miller.”

“Dr. Miller has been my pulmonologist for more than 12 years and my primary care physician for much of that time. He is an amazing listener and thoughtful practitioner who spends the necessary time to get to know you and your special needs. He responds quickly to email and phone calls and follows up to check on outcomes. He is current and knowledgeable about the latest research and is an out of the box thinker — which for me is super important. I can’t imagine anyone I would trust more to manage my health care.”

“My experience with Dr. Miller is as an MDVIP client. Certainly, Dr. Miller is a fine physician. He listens carefully and is (as best I can determine) current in his areas of specialization. Dr. Miller is also responsive (when I am ill or need a prescription refill while traveling). Dr. Miller cares not only about the metrics associated with my health, but also my subjective impression of health and well-being. As an MDVIP client, I find that Dr. Miller and I can spend enough time together to ensure he understands my overall health and can offer counsel accordingly.”

“I am a new patient for Dr. Miller in the last 6 months after my internist retired. To my surprise, I developed a medical problem almost immediately after becoming his patient. Therefore I had the opportunity to see the response by Dr. Miller to a situation immediately. I am very impressed. There was a quick response including obtaining a specialist in quick order. When you email him a question, he gets back to you, often by a telephone call with an answer or a next step. I am so appreciative of the time he takes with patients and the joy he seems to have in figuring out what is occurring and what to do. This attitude is what makes his engagement so satisfying.”

“I have been Dr. Miller’s patient for 30 years, and I have been totally impressed and pleased with his knowledge, demeanor, and interest in my health. He is always accessible, and he always follows up on concerns that I have (even in evenings and on weekends). Finally, in 30 years I have needed his referrals to other experts for various issues, and I have been satisfied with all of his recommendations. I have been very fortunate to have been in his care for all this time.”

“Dr. Miller is great. He is definitely my favorite among all doctors who have cared for me so far (I am 62, and Dr. Miller only became my primary care doctor a few years ago). He has a wonderful, down-to-earth and non-judgemental style, and is very good at pointing out when something could be serious and should be dealt with right away, or is nothing to worry about. I also really appreciate how responsive he is for everything – prescription renewals, office visits, and quick referrals to a specialist when necessary. It feels great to know that I can trust him with my healthcare!”

“Dr. Miller has been my primary care physician for approximately 30. Given the length of excellent service, I consider myself very lucky such. Although nothing is guaranteed and I have thought about this a long time, I only hope he remains my doctor during my lifetime.”

“Dr. Miller and his support staff are friendly, courteous and attentive to my needs. Dr. Miller helps a lot by acknowledging my health problems without losing patience with me which I deeply appreciate. I will gladly continue to see Dr. Miller for all of my health issues. Although I have to admit that seeing the doctor is not one of my favorite things to do, Dr. Miller and his staff do everything they can to make my visits more enjoyable.”
